The 15th has been circled on my calender for so long that I can't believe the day is finally here! We are finally live and ready to go. Crazy. Loco. Insane. And basically any other adjective that can be used to describe how I feel at the moment.
My aspiration has always been to own an e-commerce company and it's been an absolute dream to have the opportunity to launch The Loupe. This endeavor has been lovingly attended to while juggling a career, a husband, friends, family and of course my precious bulldog Otis. I made one big step last week in putting all of my faith into this site by leaving my full-time job behind. I no longer have a safety net...and for the first time in years it feels like I am at exactly the place where I belong in life.
So why start an e-commerce site and one focused on jewelry at that? I am a newlywed and I'll admit with certain aspects of the wedding I was quite the little bridezilla. I've always loved accessories, so of course I focused my zilla tendencies into finding the perfect ones. I must have searched for months for the right pair of earrings, bracelet, necklace, shoes, etc for all the various bride-centered events I needed to attend, and I found myself frustrated by the lack of resources that offered attainable high-quality accessories. I turned to online shopping and found there was little to be offered in that space as well. An idea started to nag at me that perhaps I could help fill in that void and join the handful of e-commerce stores that offered attainable high-quality designer jewelry.
The idea couldn't be put to rest as much as I tried and so I followed my heart and created The Loupe. I have so many people to thank for lending me a hand, giving me insight, support and love. Thank you all! My husband gets "the husband of the year" award for putting up with my many late nights--he's honestly the best.

P.S Here's Otis after a hard day's work...getting the site ready was obviously taxing.
